I Chalasani Venkata Satya Vijaya Bhaskara Rao, retired as a Chief Photographer, The Hindu, Vijayawada of AP here by writing that I have 44 years of experience as Photojournalist and Art Photographer and I worked in National News Papers like The Hindu, The New Indian Express, Deccan Chronicle and Pioneer also Telugu Andhra Patrika. At present I am working as a Guest Faculty in the Department of JMC/Photography in Acharya Nagarjuna University and working as a Freelance Photojournalist and President of AP Photo Journalists Association.
I received Two times UNESCO Awards, Performance award from China in 2017 and Okamoto Excellence award from Japan in 2002. I received AP state Government Ugadi Puraskaram , Acharya Nagarjuna University Prathiba Puraskaram, Sri Kasinadhuni Nageswara Rao, Sri Mandali Venkata Krishna Rao, Sri Vadlamudi Ramamohan Rao, Sri Polavarapu Koteswara Rao Memorial Awards, Lions and Rotary Clubs, AP Press Academy and Journalists Associations Best Photojournalists awards. I received 10 International Level , 10 National Level Distinctions and 2,569 Awards in my career. Every year I conduct a National level Photo contest for Photojournalists in Association with AP Creativity and Culture Commission as president and jury Member. I conducted state and national salons and I train amateur photographers and teach classes in photography. I am a jury member in State, National and International salons.

Photojournalism is a challenge to every photojournalist. The realms of Photography and Photojournalism are infinite, no matter how much one learns, there is always something more to discover. I have become a photojournalist since my teenage years. After completing my degree I am entering the Photography field. Every Photojournalist needs to stay updated every day. We need to update ourselves along with technology. Patience, stamina, neatness and courtesy are essential for every photojournalist. The job of a photojournalist is becoming increasingly difficult by the day. Many Photojournalists lost their jobs due to WhatsApp Photos. On any given day along with taking for numerous Newspapers one has to shoot and upload Video stories as well. That is why for every Photojournalist every day is a learning day involving daily developments.
